What job feed APIs are supported?
The theme supports JSearch (RapidAPI) and Adzuna. JSearch aggregates listings from Indeed, LinkedIn, Monster, ZipRecruiter, Glassdoor, and many more job boards. Adzuna provides listings from multiple countries. Both are optional — you can run a fully functional job board with only user-submitted listings.
Can employers post jobs for free?
Yes, you control this. You can allow free job posting or require employers to purchase a job package with credits before posting. Create multiple packages at different price points and credit amounts.
How does the external job feed work?
Go to Career Theme → Job Feed API, select your provider (JSearch or Adzuna), paste your API key, and set a default location. Click “Import Jobs Now” to test, or enable auto-import on a schedule (twice daily, daily, or hourly). Imported jobs appear alongside user-submitted listings with a link back to the original source.
How do featured jobs work?
Featured jobs appear in a highlighted gold section at the top of the homepage, giving them premium visibility. Administrators can mark any job as featured from the post editor. This is a great upsell for employers who want maximum exposure for their listings.
What does the sample data include?
One click installs 27 job categories (Accounting & Finance, IT & Software, Healthcare, etc.), 8 job types (Full Time, Part Time, Contract, Remote, Internship, etc.), 24 industries, 6 salary bands ($0–$30K through $150K+), and 3 featured sample job listings to showcase the homepage design.
Does it work with Elementor?
Yes. The theme is compatible with Elementor and other page builders for standard pages. The job board functionality (listings, dashboards, applications) uses the theme’s own purpose-built templates for the best experience.
How does the geolocation feature work?
When a visitor arrives on your site, the theme can request their browser location (with permission). A built-in REST API endpoint then serves job listings near their location, so they see relevant local jobs without having to type anything. This works with both user-submitted and imported jobs.
Can I charge employers for featured listings?
Yes. You can create premium job packages that include the “featured” perk, or manually feature any job from the admin. Combine this with job packages to create tiered pricing — basic listings vs. featured premium listings.
Is it translation-ready?
Yes. All strings use WordPress i18n functions with the ‘ajcareer’ text domain. You can translate every string using any standard WordPress translation plugin.
